Trip To Coventry

This saturday, I made a trip to conventry to see the match between Norwich City and Coventry City. i was going along with jon and his mates who are regulars in Norwich away game irrespective of where the match is held.

Got up very early as these guys have a tradition of catching 06:52 train for every away game. And the one thing that happens throughout the day is drinking and merry making. Knowing very well that Norwich may not win the game. I think they all do it for spending time with each other and drinking...And drink they do a lot.

We had to reach a place called Nuneaton, that is near by coventry. The Ricoh Arena, the newly built stadium for Coventry city lies away from the station and the best way to reach it was via Nunueaton and take a bus from there to Coventry.

On insistance of Jon, I had loads of Reef, fruit juice and bit of vodka. While travelling in the bus, i had the most immediete of urges , natures call.....it was frustrating for me as i was not able to get out of the bus and attend somewhere...After some anxious 15 -20 mins, we reached the stadium. We all raced to a near by pub, then i came to know that, all the drinking had the same effect on all my mates. It was god given releif.

We reached the stadium. it was really nice and good to look at. With in 10 mins of start Norwich was down by 2 goals. And the rest of 80 mins they played really well and by the end the score was levelled by goals from Calum Davenport and Craig Fleming. There was releif amonst the scores of fans numbering around 3000 at the result. Norwich deserved it after the way the played.

Return trip is another story all together. People bought 3 cartons (24 each) of beer, many bought further beer and started drinking it in Train. There was loads of noice and mayhem out there with abuses hurled at opposition players. All in all it was a very nice experience. watching a Norwich Away Game.
