Norwich City v.s Sheffield United

Yesterday afternoon i saw a wonderful football match between Norwich City and Sheffield United. I have always considered myself to be a level headed person who takes both victory and defeat in similar terms. I really wanted Norwich City to whack Sheffield United in the game. It was not because i don't like sheffield united as a team. I did admire them playing against Arsenal side,i think it was the FA. But mainly beacause of Neil Warnock. I think he never has the ability to be gracious in defeat and admit his team has been out played by a better opposition. Worthington should think of giving Warnock some classes in being gracious in defeat. As my collegue Jon Day will tell, he would like to wipe the smirk of someone named Warnock.

It was a good open game, with both the teams trying for victory and not for a draw. Their fans were the voceferous lot. I feel that some of the noise levels of Norwich City fans have reduced a bit. I remember my first game at Carrow Road and considering that, yesterday was a mere whimper. But i think it will take some time for the fans to reaffirm the faith the recently faltering team and good performances from them is an added incentive.

As usual, we did not keep a clean sheet allowing the opposition to score the first goal in the 16th minute. This is not something new. We have been conceding goals within the first 20 mins of the game quite a lot in this whole season. But what happened after that was a good sight. We started attacking more resulting in the next 2 goals. Norwich City 2 - 1 Sheffield United and this was the score that remained till the end of the game.

Positive Vibes:

a) 'Victory' is sweet
b) Leon Mcenzie, Robert Ernshaw's work upfront, Hughes in the middle, Dogerty, Shackell and Drury in defense And 'HUCKS'
c) Yesterday Carl Robinson was getting a bit of stick. But in all fairness to him, he is no Ronaldinho, he is a hard working chat who tries his best to work the ball around and i feel that is what we should look out for since we know what he is good at.
d) Fleming's cross leading to Ernie goal.

I felt sometimes that Craig Fleming, was not able to keep up pace with the younger Sheffield United forwards and wingers, finding it difficult to get back on time after going up. But his dedication for Norwich City is just superb. Always giving his best. Greeno was superb... During the initial period and late second half, Sheffield United were pressing for the victory, green was in his zone. Keeping the goalpost well, no neves and tension, just shows how important green is for Norwich City. It was very difficult for me to keep my never and if i was the goal keeper, i would have spilt the ball, but not green. Huckerby was superb. Sometimes the speed that he generated to get the ball forward is just amazing...
