A British diplomat in Nepal has achieved the feat of climbing the Mount Everest, long after her grand father has failed to do the same. Read the story here
I am sometimes really amazed at a mountaineer's fascination of The Mount Everest. The sheer thrill that they hold in their hearts to climb and conquer the mountain. The multiple attempts that one does, the failures, the successes. The scale of it amazes me and thrills me. I would have also loved to the same. But I ain't no mountaineer. May be one day I will travel to Nepal to see the Mount Everest from some point. That definitely is one of my wishes to see the massive mount through my eyes, to experience the bliss. May be one day..............

Be easier to get in a helicopter and have it drop you off surely - or is that cheating.
I would love to do it, but a walk up the local hill puts me out of breath and thats a lack of fitness.
I suffer from the same Monty. I am a horrible mess as far as my health is concerned.
Last year I managed to do Helvelyn and Striding Edge in the Lake District. I am sure to most this is like a walk in the park, but for me being overweight and underactive, it was a heck of an achievement.
On the theme of health, I went from Norwich A140 junction at ring road and travelled down into suffolk. I watched the mileage on the car and was amazed how far 26 miles (i.e., Marathon) is. That someone could run that in two hours is shear unbelievable.
