Some days back I was invited by Shane to enjoy a day golfing. That was during the last long weekend. I have no idea about how golf is played nor I spend a lot of time watching the game in television. I do find it boring sometimes. It was a good opportunity for me to learn more about the game and to appreciate it.
As in a typical English weather, it was damn cold with chilly finds blowing across the field. It was a lush green course and a lot of people were fighting for the first place in the golf competition. What I did that day? I was shane's caddie (one who did not know the difference between par and boogie :-)). There were 2 others other than shane, including our own Graham and Tom(who btw is a very good player). Walked through wades and wades of grass, sand dunes, seaching for lost golf balls. I really walked a lot and for a bulky chap like me that was too much excersice. But one thing I have to admit, Golf does require a lot of skill and technique. A whole load of concentration, accuracy and coolness of head when things don't go right. Thought I will not admit to watching in the television, now I do have a better admiration for the sport.
