Fun and Funny

Every thought what is the difference between fun and funny and the difference that can make in whatever you do. This article also made me think how important it is for anyone to understand his/her target audience before they do any work or presentation.

I quote from the article....

People are often turned off by the idea of adding "fun" to an otherwise serious product simply because they think it means "humour" or "silly." But while things which are "amusing" are often fun, things which are fun aren't necessarily amusing. The key phrase to link with fun is enjoy doing it.

For eg. Tom and Jerry is funny. Chess is not. But most people who play chess still consider it fun. They enjoy it.

An excellent article by one of the bloggers whom I love/enjoy/cherish reading.

Don't miss reading the same here

I agree completely. The thing is that something that is funny is fun to see/watch/hear....But what is fun to someone may not be funny to the recepient.

that is what was emphasized with a very good example in the link provided in the link.
