Just imagine the power an organisation can have if it knows what exactly are you searching for in the Internet by country, by state, by region....What an impact it will be.
How can that be done. Well Google thinks it has the answer. It is called Google Trends. What ever is being searched using google search engine is stored and analysed on all range of subjects.
Thanks to Google Trends, the mayor of Elmhurst, Ill., a Chicago suburb, has had to explain why his city devotes more of its Web searches to "sex" than any other in the United States (because it doesn't have strip clubs or pornography shops, he gamely told The Chicago Sun-Times)
Though this is a wonderful technology..but isn't this intrusion...I don't know. If someone can analyse to the extend of what is being searched per region. Can they not analyse what is being searched for one one single computer...That is a scary thought....
