Video-sharing makes move to TV

Broadcasters, alongside mobile operators and web firms, are keen to play a part in the current obsession with user-generated content.

A TV satellite channel dedicated to user-generated content has been launched on the UK-based Sky platform.

The Sumo TV channel, available on Sky Channel 146, will show clips from the Sumo TV website.

Every time a clip is broadcast, the originator of the content will receive a percentage of the revenues generated.

I think this is really cool. But only time will tell on how many people would bother to watch this channel?
