Gandhiji's sense of humour

Gandhiji was asked about what he thought of western civilisation and he replied: "I think it is a good idea." (Ouch...) When he was asked about his modest attire ahead of a meeting with the British monarch, he replied: "The King is wearing enough for both of us."
