A college anecdote

Today I am thinking of mentioning about an episode that happened during my college days. Just thought about it sometime back and it really made me laugh and think about the wonderful days that passed by.....
I did my engineering in Regional Engineering College, Silchar, Assam. India. I am a mech. engg. And that was the most loosely controlled branch in college. We really had great freedom in our classes and had a great bunch of friend.
I had the habit of reading weekly magazines during my classes. Not at all a nature of a good student, I agree. My fav was 'India Today'. A weekly magazine that you get in India. One of my prof name is Dr. Rajat Gupta. A very good professor. Unfortunately teaching a really drab subject and one of my past times to spend the class was to read this mag, anything to be truthful. He used to consider me a diligent student. Apparently he was also my hostel warden and he knew me very well.
Once during one of his glorious sessions during 2:30 in the afternoon on a very hot, sunny day. Almost everyone feeling sleepy and almost sleeping ( ;-) )....I was reading this mag. To make the class interesting he was asking us questions and expecting us to answer. I used to sit one of the last benches to avoid disturbances and he never used to bother to come to the back benches and horrors of horrors he decided to come over to back to my seat. I was doing my merry reading with bouts of sleep. He saw me with my mag....He looked... I looked...I was stuttering and think of something smart to tell. But he just left. I was very embarressed. Just imagine one prof. coming to know that a student of his is reading a mag instead of listening to his lecture. I decided not to read anything in his class as i was feeling very bad. Though this incident did not stop me from reading books in other classes.

That sounds like ol' Uni to me. I remember doing lots of other things apart from doing what I should in lectures.

So, what's the big deal? You were reading the Time Magazine, not looking at porn! Jeez! I'm sorry, but it's really lame.
