Magnecap - An intersting product
Today sometime back i was watching BBCWorld and i saw an interesting product. It is called magnecap. I have heard of many time in which people have put the wrong fuel in the car and got stuck in between, A simple thing being putting unleaded petrol in a disel car and getting stuck after 1/2 mile. Apparently there are 1000 such instances in the Uk per week costing everyone a maxm of 3000 pounds for repair in case one has to change the engine. What this product does is it tells the consumer whether he/she is putting the correct fuel or not. It does not cost a lot according to BBC somewhere about 4 pounds. An intersting precaution. I think this simple product is going to be of great use to motorists. It is a simple product from the looks of it. Just imagine the cost savings the simple product is going to do....

wow a 1000 a week, thats crazy!!!
Seems like a cheep idea that could help prevent a very expensive problem
Kudos to who ever devoloped the product,
Hope the s/w engineers learn something from them
yup...even i did not beleive it. But i am sure it is a cheap solution for a potentially expensive problem. I am just imagining this scenario. Potentially the insurance companies will start mandating the use of this product (or) if you still think that you will put petrol in a diesel engine, potentially you will have to pay an extra premium (and rightly so) for it.
I agree to what you say barani. simple solutions are always there for complex problems. the knack is to look in the right direction. if only we can do that
