Right to Information Act, the new law passed by the Indian parliament, is making the govenment officials accountable. This law forces the authorities to disclose information to the general public. For a fee of 10 rupees($.2), Indians can now ask the government for information on almost anything. This law is helping the poor people of India.

Yes, it is a great design in the Indian system. The prime goal of this one is to prevent corruption. But it has its own loopholes as well. But in most cases, the law should be very helpful.
