President Kalam says IITians not helping India

President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, one of the finest scientists produced by India says the about the Indian Institute of Technology.

"The value addition of IIT is very low for its students. The knowledge products and intellectual properties added by IITians are minimal."

It really is an uncomfortable observation made by the Indian president. Is he wrong (or) Are the IITans, the brilliant students from the premier Institute in India, not doing enough for the country?

What does my readers think?

Watch President's thoughts here

Update: An interesting conversation on CNN IBN in this regard. Some soul searching within IIT? Do watch it. it is very interesting.
